Track My Boat is operated by Incanus Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it. Contact: sales@incanus.uk.

What we collect

How we use it

To provide the service — showing your boat on the map, sharing it with friends you invite, planning routes, and managing your subscription. We send transactional email (verification, password reset, friend invites) via our email provider.

We also keep a record of when you last signed in and last used the app, so we can see which accounts are still active and help you if something goes wrong with yours.

Who can see your data

Your boats and positions are visible only to you and the friends you explicitly invite. Nothing is public. We do not sell your personal data.

Advertising & cookies

The public website may show advertising. If we use Google AdSense, Google may set cookies to serve and measure ads; where required we ask for your consent first. Signed-in Pro members do not see ads. The app itself uses a single essential cookie to keep you logged in.

Retention

Free accounts' position history is kept for 5 days; a boat's most recent position is always kept, so it stays on the map. Pro history is kept in full while your subscription is active, and for a further 30 days after it lapses, so you can renew without losing anything. You can delete boats, waypoints and your account at any time, which removes the associated data.

Unused accounts are deleted. If an account has not been used at all within 30 days of sign-up — no boat added, no friend connected, no waypoint saved and no subscription — we delete it and the email address held with it. We email a warning 7 days before and again 2 days before, and any use of the account stops the deletion permanently. We hold no personal data for accounts that were never used.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Email sales@incanus.uk.
